Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Former NHL defenseman Dennis Owchar won the Allan Cup for the first time with the 1983-84 Thunder Bay Twins. Owchar was presented with this 10-karat gold championship ring to commemorate his first of consecutive Canadian senior hockey titles after the Twins won the best-of-seven final against the Cambridge Hornets in five games. “Memorial Cup Champions” encircles a tableau filled with 18 shimmering zirconias. “Owchar 25” appears above the Allan Cup on one shank, with “Twins”, the team logo and “84” on the other. "Jostens 10K" is stamped inside the band of the size 9 1/2 ring, which is nicely preserved and weighs approximately 15 grams. Comes with Dennis Owchar’s signed LOA.
The ring’s details remain quite sharp with proud wear showing in various light nicks to the edges of the band, which displays light surface scratches.
