Remarkable find is Denis Savard's minor hockey game-worn jersey from his days with the Verdun Bantam Leafs in the mid-1970s. The future Hall of Fame centre wore this No. 5 gamer that comes along with one of his hockey socks, both obtained directly from someone who was very close to Savard as he progressed through junior hockey and on to his NHL debut with the Chicago Black Hawks. This historic hockey relic, which measures out to roughly a size 40, displays a magnificent team crest with blue thread chain stitching. A half dozen holes on the front of the jersey do not diminish its historic appeal. Please see our website description for more information on this Denis Savard minor hockey game-worn jersey, which comes with an LOA. Cotton fabric number “5” sewn on the back and both sleeves are white with traces of blue, possibly virtually washed out, the blue thread stitching providing a suitable outline for the numbers’ display;
The back of the jersey displays red paint transfer below and to the left of the number, which has a hole at the bottom and rust-colored stains adjacent to it;
Truly a one-of-a-kind minor hockey game-worn jersey with a Hall of Fame pedigree.
