Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
A regular First or Second NHL All-Star Team selection throughout the mid-1930s to mid-1940s, Earl Seibert was well known and feared for both his intimidating stature and especially physical play. Stanley Cup championships would be won by Seibert with both the Rangers and Black Hawks, with the bruiser following his father Oliver into the Hall of Fame, in 1963, and passing at 78 years of age, in 1990. We have a puck signed by Seibert. An “Official” model puck with no logos and “Made in Czechoslovakia” in raised letters along the side, Seibert has signed in white, with the vintage signature darkening over time. The puck itself has a chip on the reverse, with a few blemishes near the signature and discolouration along the side. Signed pucks from pre-Original Six era Hall of Fame members are seldom found. A sticker from PSA/DNA numbered “Z37582” has been affixed to the reverse, with a matching COA to accompany.
