Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024

Impregnable along the Blueshirts blueline for almost two decades and a key member of the blue shirts squad that won the 1994 Stanley Cup, Brian Leetch earned a pair of James Norris Trophies with the New York Rangers for his superior defensive skills throughout his career along with the Calder Memorial as the top rookie, in 1989. Hailing from the 2003-04 season in which he suited up for both the Rangers as well as the Toronto Maple Leafs, offered here is this stick used by Leetch during the season. A red coloured Easton Synergy model with "2 Leetch" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains Leetch's familiar tape job style in white over the handle/knob as well as black over the blade. Having had a now dried gripping agent applied throughout the length of the shaft which has left it covered in a tacky residue, the stick displays moderate game-use via a few marks and abrasions over the shaft, lower shaft and heel areas as well as over both sides of the blade tape. Additionally, the knob and handle tape sports discolouration and soiling from being in Leetch's gloves.
