Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
The goals kept coming for HOF right wing Brett Hull during the 2001-02 season on the way to his second Stanley Cup win, this time with the Detroit Red Wings. Offered is the Golden Brett’s 665th career goal puck, his 16th of the season. Great pedigree on this Red Wings InGlasCo NHL official game puck as Hull’s tally on Olaf Kolzig, set up by Pavel Datsyuk and fellow HOFer Nick Lidstrom, proved the winner in a 3-1 victory over Washington at the Joe on January 18, 2002. This puck took a bit of a beating with slice, a gouge and a little chunk missing from a chipped edge on the face covered with a strip of hockey tape with the goal details written on it. Comes with Brett Hull's signed LOA.
“Detroit Washington, January 18 2002, Detroit 2nd goal, Scored 17 Hull, Assist 13 Datsyuk, 5 Lidstrom, Time 10:14 1st” is handwritten in black ink on the wide band of white hockey tape stretched across the NHL official game puck face of this InGlasCo puck.
