Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Originally sold through the Hockey Diversified NHL Goal Puck Program that offered game-used examples from 1972-73 and 1973-74, a label was affixed to each listing the scorer, team and date, along with a code that divulged which team-goal said puck accounted for. This particular puck was used by Bill Goldsworthy to score the Minnesota North Stars 132nd goal of the 1973-74 season, vs the Montreal Canadiens, at The Forum, on Jan 17, 1974. The goal would be the lone marker for the Stars that evening, with the Canadiens taking home the victory, 6-1. His seventh season in Minnesota, Goldsworthy would finish the 1973-74 campaign with an impressive 74 points in 74 games played.
The Canadiens rubberized logo exhibits a few dark marks, with additional blemishes and toning to the Goal Puck Program label. There is also light general wear to the puck itself including a small cut.
