Alex Delvecchio’s mid-1970s Detroit Red Wings players held him in such high esteem that they presented him with this silver serving set of four pieces. From Delvecchio’s personal collection, this silver service set features a sugar bowl, a creamer, a spoon and a plate, all very nicely preserved overall. It comes with the Christmas card signed by “Merry Christmas The Players” and the original envelope addressed to “Alex Delvecchio” with all the handwriting in bold black marker. Comes with Alex Delvecchio’s signed LOA.
The sugar bowl and the creamer are each stamped “Empire Sterling Weighted” and “22” on the bottom. The plate is stamped “Countess International Silver Company” with “I” and “S” in boxes and “6248” stamped below. It has light scratches and several tiny spots of silver loss. The spoon has “International Deep Silver” stamped on the back of the handle.
