Wayne Gretzky wielded this signed Easton game-used stick when he picked up one of his 92 assists for the L.A. Kings during his 130-point season in 1993-94. The Great One contributed a helper in the Kings' 4-4 tie in Detroit on December 31, 1993, and he went on to score his record-breaking 802nd goal later that season. Kings equipment guru Peter Millar placed a "RS93 Det 488" code in black marker on the top of the wood butt end, and the date "Dec 31 93" is handwritten in black marker low on the silvery Easton Aluminum 5100 shaft, which has Gretz's original Jack the Gripper on the knob. Wayne placed a bold black marker autograph on the front of the Easton wood blade insert which has his distinctive baby-powdered tape job. “Gretzky” is stamped on the front of the wood blade insert, which has a small chip in the middle of the top edge that shows through a gouge in the tape job.
