Awesome Wayne Gretzky 1984 NHL All-Star Game Campbell Conference game-worn socks each feature four white twill stars sewn on the black stripe. The Great One scored on Chico Resch in the third period of the Campbells' 7-6 loss to the Wales All-Stars on January 31, 1984. The game was played in the hostile confines of New Jersey's Brendan Byrne Arena in the wake of Wayne's "Mickey Mouse" comments about the Devils following Edmonton's 13-4 win there in November. A black mark sits high on one of these two orange All-Star beauties worn by Wayne. Comes with an LOA from Keith Parker, who was the Wales All-Star team's equipment manager for the game.
