Windy City teammates for four seasons during the late-1960s/early-1970s which included advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals in both 1971 and 1973, this goalie stick used by Chicago Black Hawks HOF netminder Tony Esposito during the late-1970s hails from the personal collection of longtime Black Hawk and Summit Series star Pat Stapleton. A Northland Registered Pattern model with “Esposito” stamped to the upper shaft, the original black-over-white tape remains over the blade and paddle, with this repeated on the knob. The striping accent is intact over the handle, with the registered pattern number of “9121” stamped. Nice game-use is shown with wear to the taped section of blade along with some minor chipping at the heel, with a few specks of red paint transfer to the shaft. An LOA from the Stapleton family will accompany.
