Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Fantastic offering is Tomas Sandstrom’s game-worn jersey from the 1987 world championships in Austria that saw Sweden claim gold for the first time since 1962! Sandstrom had 10 points (four goals, six assists) in eight games in Vienna to help lead Sweden to its fourth world championship title. Tagged in the neck by Adidas that indicates US/British size XXL, the jersey features yellow mesh with felt numbers on the sleeve and back. Sandstrom’s surname is sewn on a nameplate sewn on the jersey and the AGFA sponsors’ patches are on both sleeves. There is a long yellow thread pull on the yellow portion of the three blue stripes on the left shoulder. Game wear includes black marks on the sleeves and left front tail, board burns, and an unrepaired hole below the numbers on the right sleeve. From the personal collection of Tomas Sandstrom, this game-worn jersey comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
