Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
This circa 1974-76 California Seals game jersey is the style worn during the team's final two seasons in the Bay Area. Heavy stretchy knit jersey with No. 29 sewn on the back and both sleeves in the white and yellow double twill like “Seals” across the front has Gunzo’s tagging and a General size XL flag tag inside the back of the neck. An anchor patch with a remnant of the cut fight strap remains sewn inside the back. There are four team repairs, including one below the front of the knit collar with its distinctive front venting. The left sleeve has two team repairs and there is another on the right sleeve. There is no sign of the jersey ever having had a nameplate. Comes with an LOA.
This jersey previously sold as a Brent Meeke gamer but we can't confirm it was worn by him and we couldn't find any evidence of a Seals player wearing No. 29 in the mid-1970s.
