The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
After his L.A. Kings lost its preliminary playoff round to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the spring of 1978, Marcel Dionne joined Team Canada at the World Championships in Prague. Dionne ended a somewhat disappointing year in style as he led the red and white to a bronze medal. Marcel rifled in 9 goals and added 3 assists in 10 games and won the tournament's Best Forward Award. He and his teammates also received gold rings for their efforts. A maple leaf is on the front along with "Team Canada", "Prague" and 4 diamonds. The shanks feature "19" and "78" while the engraving on the inside band includes a scripted "Marcel Dionne". Stamped 10K, the size 10 1/2 ring shows some wear but remains in excellent condition. From Marcel Dionne's personal collection with his signed LOA.
