The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Marcel Dionne's finest hour in international hockey competition came in 1976 when he teamed with linemates Bobby Hull and Gilbert Perreault to form one of the most potent lines in Canada Cup history. In 7 games, the trio combined for 10 goals and 12 assists and along with Bobby Orr and Rogie Vachon, led Canada to the tournament championship. Dionne and his teammates for their efforts received 12" high trophies in the form of a half maple leaf. An engraved metal plate at the base reads "Marcel Dionne Canada Cup 1976". As is common with these awards, there is bulging and cracking. Won by what many feel is the greatest team ever assembled by Canada, it will come with Marcel Dionne's signed LOA.
