Luc Robitaille rocked the purple-and-gold Los Angeles Kings track suit that is included in this lot of game-used equipment from the early part of his Hall of Fame NHL career. Also offered here from Robitaille’s personal collection are a pair of his game-worn Sher-Wood hockey gloves (he signed the right one), and two signed game-used sticks, including a 1985-86 rookie-season red Titan and a Sher-Wood PMP 7000 from the early 1990s. Please see our website description for more detailed information about the items in this lot. Comes with Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA. Robitaille signed in black marker below the “Los Angeles Kings” logo on the left breast of his “20 Robitaille” purple jacket with gold stripes. Zip closure jacket has Bonnie Sportswear and size L fly tags in the back of the neck. Comes with a matching pair of track pants, also with Bonnie and size L tagging. Robitaille signed and dated “91” on the grey padding panel on the front of the right glove of his pair of black and grey Sher-Wood Platinum gloves. Strands of black tape remain across the manufacturer’s name on the cuffs. The palms of both gloves display nice game wear, with slightly more wear on the right glove, and both have small wear holes on the outer doubled layer but no perforation through the palm. The old NHL shield remains on both thumbs. Robitaille signed in black marker and dated “85-86” low on the front of the shaft of his red Titan gamer which retains his black tape jobs on the knob and blade. “L. Robitaille” is stamped low on the face of the shaft and this beauty from his Kings’ debut is crack-free and solid, with a smooth bottom edge to its taped blade. Robitaille also signed his Sher-Wood gamer low on the shaft. “Robitaille 20” is stamped high on the shaft, which retains his black tape job on the knob, which is somewhat faded. Robitaille’s black tape job on the blade is also somewhat faded and tattered where it has worn through virtually completely along the bottom edge, which has just a small crack in the fiberglass layer and is otherwise whole and intact.
