Incredible lot from the end of Luc Robitaille’s Hall of Fame NHL career includes the L.A. Kings captain’s jersey he wore for his final game and one of his last game-used sticks from his special batch prepared for his last three games. From Robitaille’s personal collection, offered here is the last Kings jersey he wore on April 15, 2006 in a 2-1 shootout win over Calgary. The captain’s “C” Robitaille wore uniquely for his swan song sits on the left breast of this one-of-a-kind gamer with his now-retired #20. Robitaille signed across his tape job on the blade of his Warrior game-used stick, one of 60 prepared for him by Kings trainer Peter Millar to use during his last three games of the 2005-06 season. Please see our website description for more information about this pair of historic pieces from the end of the career of one of hockey’s greatest left wingers. Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA accompanies this lot. Millar’s team set marking in the tail has the special symbol he also placed on Robitaille’s last batch of 60 game-used sticks, along with the notations "2" and "CGY", and his circled initials. No "2005-2006 Season" tag was added to the 2004-05 MeiGray tag in the hem of this special single-game worn jersey, which obviously displays almost no wear. Size 56 Made in Canada fly tag remains in the neck and the fight strap is whole and intact. Millar's special marking on the back upper shaft is displayed on the back of the shaft of Robitaille’s Warrior Dolomite composite stick, which he initialed and marked “36” of the batch of 60. Robitaille used these in his three last games, 20 in each game. This special gamer retains his tape jobs on the blade and knob.
