Luc Robitaille broke fellow HOFer Steve Shutt’s record for goals by a left wing with 63 tallies in 1992-93, which has only been topped by Alex Ovechkin since. Offered here from Luc's personal collection are four NHL game pucks from his record-breaking season. Included is the one he used to score his record-tying 60th goal, as well as his 62nd and 63rd goal pucks, the latter representing the new record he established during his 125-point campaign, a league record for a left winger, which stands to this day. A fourth 1992-93 NHL official game puck from Luc's collection is included here with no notation. Please see our webiste description for more information about the historic goal pucks featured in this lot. Comes with Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA. Each of the four pucks included here has the Stanley Cup 100th anniversary logo screened on the front, which was used throughout the NHL in 1992-93. The puck Robitaille used to tie Shutt’s record with his first of two goals against San Jose on April 8, 1993 has “#20 – 60th Goal” written in black marker on the NHL Official Game Puck orange circle on the reverse. After breaking the record later in the game, he added to his new mark five days later in a 7-4 loss in Vancouver. That goal puck is marked “Luc, 4-13-93, 62nd Goal” on a reverse with former NHL president John Ziegler’s facsimile signature, which means this Canucks game puck was likely made with the 1991-92 slug. The faded black marker notation “20 #63” is written on the Gil Stein reverse of the puck Robitaille used to score his record-setting final goal of the 1992-93 regular season in an 8-6 loss to Vancouver on April 15.
