Edmonton Oilers Auction 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2005
Opening night, November 12th, 1931, saw the Toronto Maple Leafs lose 2-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks. The capacity crowd of 13,233 was amazed with the new facility and seat prices ranged from 95 cents to $2.75. Over the next 68 years fans got to see the Maple Leafs capture 11 Stanley Cups and watch dozens of future members of the Hall of Fame play the game. The puck dropped for the last time on February 13th, 1999 in a game that also resulted in a loss, 6-2, to the Chicago Blackhawks. Here is your chance to pick up an attached set of two Maple Leaf Gardens rear mount grey seats that were removed from the grand old building in 1991 to make way for private boxes. These are not the cleaned up seats that they sold at the closing in 1999. These are in original condition, right out of the rink! Both seats are in good condition with no broken parts. Keep in mind that shipping will be a consideration.
