The New York Rangers ended their 54-year Stanley Cup drought in 1994 with an exciting 7-game series win over the Vancouver Canucks and the image of team captain Mark Messier shaking the Cup as he hoisted it is one that most hockey fans will always remember. Thanks in large part to his leadership, he and his teammates received breathtaking gold and diamond creations like this salesman sample ring. It features an enameled diagonal "Rangers" logo on the table, along with 20 zircons. Surrounding it are the words New Yorkers waited over five decades to hear, "Stanley Cup Champions." One shank features the images of the Stanley Cup, the Prince of Wales and President's trophies and Madison Square Garden, while the Rangers' point total of 112 is engraved below. The other shank includes Mark's surname, his number "11", an enamel Rangers logo, the words "Heave Ho" and an outline of New York's skyscrapers. The size 11 ring is stamped "10K" on the inside of the band where a line through "1940" also appears. This replica of the ring presented to Mark Messier is in stunning near mint condition.
