Blue practice jersey worn by Esa Tikkanen displays his name and number "10" on the back. Heritage Classic Edmonton Oilers Mega Stars Autographed Practice Jerseys On November 22, 2003 the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club made NHL history by hosting the league's first ever modern era outdoor game in front of a record 57,000 plus freezing fans in Commonwealth Stadium and millions more watching around the world on television. Without a doubt the most talked about and anticipated attraction of the entire spectacle was the inclusion of the Oilers and Habs Mega Stars game. In preparation for the big game, Gretzky and the rest of the "Boys on the Bus" took to Commonwealth Stadium's ice surface on November 21st for one last team practice. Like countless practices in the 1980's, coach Glen "Slats" Sather put his team through the paces… this time in a very frigid outdoor environment. The memories and old drills were recreated for the boys complete with their familiar blue and white practice jerseys. Offered from that very practice are the jerseys worn by the Oilers Mega Stars for the final team workout. These CCM knit jerseys are all tagged in the neck with a CCM "Made in Canada" label in size 58. In addition each jersey has NHL Centre Ice Crest on the left chest and the CCM logo and size of the jersey sewn onto the bottom left hem. The player's number and last name are heat sealed onto the jersey with all other crests and logos sewn-on. As a bonus each jersey has been nicely autographed on the back by the Oilers star who wore it! These historic uniforms are from the archives of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, and each will come with an accompanying letter of authenticity on team letterhead signed by Oilers General Manager Kevin Lowe.
