The Moose picked up his 2nd Hat Trick and 40th goal of the 1981-82 season on February 17, 1982 during a home game against North Stars. We would like to think this puck found the twine on one of the typical Messier off-wing snap shots that baffled goalies throughout his career, but forgive us if our memories fail us on the exact details of the goal. What we do know for sure is this puck this puck did touch not one but three certain Hall of Famers before it found its way behind a hapless Stars goalie! With assists going to Gretzky and Lowe no goalie stood a chance! The official NHL Inglasco Oilers puck was plucked from the net that night and later mounted (with tape) onto a 7"x 9"wood display plaque that has a pre-drilled wall mount hole in the centre. A brass plate with laser engraved black text captures the details of this great moment in Messier and Oilers history. From the archives of the Edmonton Oilers with a team letter of provenance signed by General Manager Kevin Lowe.
