Edmonton Oilers Auction 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2005
Oilers head coach Craig MacTavish put it best when he said: "Mark Messier's intensity in the dressing room was not always put in the right context. The biggest misperception is that Mark would grab guys by the scruff of the neck to toe the line about commitment to the team. But he made every player feel like a winner. And for every player if you're treated like a winner, if you feel like a winner, then you do things indicative of a winner". This vintage and original orange and blue stall from the Edmonton Oilers locker room has been fitted with a replica Messier name plaque. This is the ACTUAL stall used by Mark Messier throughout the 1980's and still has a vintage "Moose Power" decal stuck up under the shelf. From the archives of the Edmonton Oilers with a team letter of provenance signed by General Manager Kevin Lowe. 1980's Edmonton Coliseum Edmonton Oilers Locker Room Player Stalls Capture the magic of the Oilers dressing room! Solid and well-crafted, these player locker stalls were installed in the Edmonton Oilers dressing room in 1974 and removed during renovations to the Coliseum around 1994. Although the team did not make note of which stall belonged to who when they were salvaged, these vintage and original orange and blue stalls from have been fitted with replica name plaques, identical to those used throughout the Eighties. Please note, due to the size and weight, the lockers are available for local pickup only, or we will be happy to work with a commercial freight company of your choice.
