Edmonton Oilers Auction 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2005
On the night of February 25th, 1994, the Oilers hosted Wayne Gretzky and his Kings at the Coliseum. Wayne would find the twine for his 31st on the season and goal number 796 of his career. Six goals later he would surpass Gordie to take the top spot on the NHL's all-time scoring list. The well-worn Oilers Inglasco game puck has "796 Goals" in blue decals on the obverse and the edge has been wrapped in white cloth tape and marked "Feb-25-94, W. Gretzky 31st Goal, Assist-Kurri". This beautiful biscuit comes encased in a circular wood and glass frame, ready for display. From the personal collection of Rick "The Stick" Elaschuk with his signed letter of provenance.
