Drafted second overall by Philadelphia in 2007, James van Riemsdyk spent his first three NHL seasons with the Flyers before being traded to Toronto, in 2012. The New Jersey native has also represented the US at every level internationally. From his time in Ontario, we have a photo-matched Toronto Maple Leafs jersey worn by van Riemsdyk in 2016-17. A label with “56” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “25” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in oversized blue twill, with “van Riemsdyk” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. “1” is also handwritten to the fight strap to denote first set. Sporting good game-use with marks over the front and sleeves, there is a small hole on the lower left sleeve, with a larger burn mark with resulting hole near the right elbow. Getty Image #628830186 (Nov 29, 2016) has been matched to the dark mark over the lower right front, with the size and placement identical. The team patch resides on the inside hem, with a COA matching the serial number to accompany from the Leafs.
