A sixth-round draft selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Connor Brown had an outstanding junior career in the OHL with Erie, and is currently with Ottawa after four seasons in Toronto. This Leafs jersey was worn by Brown in 2016-17. A label with “56” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “12” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized single navy twill, with “Brown” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The jersey also sports the NHL centennial crest over the right sleeve, with a price tag from the team store affixed to the laundering tag. “2” has also been handwritten over the fight strap to denote second set. Exhibiting nice game-use, there are marks and faint board burns over each sleeve, with a large stick mark beneath the team crest and blue paint transfer over the upper left shoulder. There is also a small hole over the lower reverse. Getty Image #647340202 (March 2, 2017) has been matched to the series of three marks over the upper reverse right sleeve, and specifically to their shape and placement, with the first mark seen going over the sleeve seam, while Getty Image #647325876 (March 2, 2017) has been matched to the series of dark marks over the lower right sleeve and to the blue paint transfer marks visible to the left of the NHL centennial crest. The team patch numbered “G0078” is situated over the inside hem, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs.
