Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Registering impressive numbers during his time with the London Knights which would include a Memorial Cup championship in 2016, Mitch Marner has scored an equally impressive 224 points in just his first three NHL seasons with Toronto. This photo-matched Leafs jersey was worn by the young star in 2018-19. An Adidas band with “54” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “16” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized single white twill, with “Marner” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. “2” has also been handwritten over the fight strap to denote second set. Exhibiting light to moderate game-use, there are marks and burns over the front band, with additional heavy burns over each sleeve and right shoulder. Getty Image #1094674496 (Feb 6, 2019) has been matched to the distinct board burn pattern over the right shoulder. We should also note that we believe the two loose threads visible on the “6” over the right sleeve were trimmed by staff at the Leafs team store before the jersey was listed for sale. Getty Images #1132986596 (Feb 27) and #1130744855 (March 13) have also both been matched to the board burn pattern over the right shoulder, with the final image also matched to the mark over the “6” of “16” on the right sleeve. The team patch numbered “I0131” is situated over the inside hem, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs, along with an 8” x 10” photo showing Marner wearing this jersey.
