Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Only the third player in NHL history to record back-to-back 90-assist seasons, Joe Thornton is a six-time All-Star, with numerous honours earned throughout his lengthy career including winning gold medals with Team Canada at the World Cup and Winter Olympics. This Sharks alternate captain’s jersey was worn by Thornton in 2018-19, specifically between Jan 15, 2019 and Jan 23, 2019 – according to the team patch. 58+ sizing appears along the collar (with two dots added, with this signifying second period use), with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive and textured Sharks team crest, the faux tie-neck has been accented with “19” over the sleeves and verso in teal-over-black tackle twill, with matching team crests over each shoulder and the 2019 All-Star Game crest over the right breast. Acquired directly from the San Jose Sharks, the team patch denoting the garment as third set has been added to the inside hem.
Exhibiting just very light wear as Thornton is believed to use two jerseys each contest, there are discernible game-wear marks visible.
