Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
One of the most celebrated franchises in athletic competition, the Montreal Canadiens are the oldest professional hockey team in the world, and winning 25.3% of all Stanley Cup championships contested after the Challenge Cup era, the Habs are the second-most successful all-time of the four major North American sports teams. This lot contains a collection of signed Canadiens pucks totaling 16, representing members of the club's 1970s dynasty, including 8 Hall of Fame members. Each puck sports a Habs logo, with each signature in silver, with many adding their Cup wins. Hall of Fame members include Lafleur, Shutt, Gainey, Lapointe, Robinson, Cournoyer, Langway and coach Scotty Bowman, along with Houle, Bouchard, Tardif, Napier, Larouche, Awrey, Risebrough and Pete Mahovlich. The signatures all present well, with just light handling wear to the pucks. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
