Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Dressing for a single contest for the third-year Philadelphia Flyers in 1969-70, goaltender Dunc Wilson would first backstop the expansion club Vancouver Canucks before moving on to Ontario to guard the crease of the Toronto Maple Leafs for a pair of seasons, beginning in 1973-74. We have a stick used by the Toronto native in 1974-75, and it’s been team-signed by the Leafs. A Sher-Wood model with “Wilson” and “30” stamped over the upper shaft, the original black tape is in place over the blade and lower paddle, with white over the handle and knob. Some of the upper striping accent remains on the paddle, with heavier use exhibited on the lumber, with wear to the blade and lower paddle, with additional wear to the shaft including some red paint transfer. One side of the paddle has been shaved down to accommodate the approx 25 mostly matching black marker signatures, including Wilson, as well as HOFers Dave Keon, Norm Ullman and Lanny McDonald, along with Moffat, Monahan, Turnbull, Grisdale, Ecclestone, Hammarstrom, Sabourin, Ferguson, Thompson and others. The majority of the signatures display well, with no major issues.
