The 2016 NCHC Goaltender of the Year backstopping St Cloud State, Charlie Lindgren was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens to a two-year, two way contract, making his NHL debut with the Habs on April 7, 2016, the only game he played with the club that season. This Canadiens jersey was worn by Lindgren during the two games he played during his pre-rookie season of 2016-17, and it’s been photo-matched to both. A “Goalie Style” label and “58” size tag are affixed to the collar just below an affixed “2”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with “40” in tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lindgren” across the nameplate in single blue twill. The jersey also features the NHL 100th anniversary patch, situated over the right sleeve. The team patch numbered “A04749” sits on the inside hem, while a hologram numbered “GU11977” has been affixed to the second reverse number, with an LOA with both numbers matching to accompany from the Canadiens.
A number of small dark marks are visible over the upper and lower front, with a few additional marks over each sleeve. There is also a small slit beneath the front left shoulder. Getty Image #664243944 (April 3, 2017) has been matched to the loose threads and irregular sewing patterns on the number "40" on the left sleeve, while Getty Image #664252642, also from April 3, has been matched to the black mark on the top left edge of the team crest and to a few other marks on the jersey. Lastly, Getty Image #668520812 (April 8, 2017) has been matched to the black mark on the top left edge of the team crest.
