Making an immediate impact upon his arrival in sunny California with 168 points scored in just his first 78 games played in the City of Angels, Wayne Gretzky would excite Kings’ fans for eight seasons, with his trade to the south-of-the-border club hugely popularizing hockey in The Golden State. This original painting on canvas feature’s the iconic superstar, and it’s been executed by renowned artist Murray Henderson. A charitable organization supporter and noteworthy for his sports representations, Henderson’s works are accounted for in a number of private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the US and Europe. At approx 20 ½” x 30”, The Great One is expertly depicted, almost ominously, with his solid black uniform and unmistakable visage emerging from the darkly toned background. The artist has signed along the bottom right in gold, and with no condition issues to note, the canvas will be shipped to the winning bidder rolled.
