Named baseball’s greatest living player in a poll taken during the sport’s centennial year of 1969, Joe DiMaggio led his New York Yankees to ten American League pennants and nine Fall Classic championships during his career, with the Clipper best remembered for his 56-game hitting streak, in 1941. ...Or was it his marriage to legendary bombshell Marilyn Monroe? This original painting on canvas feature’s Joltin’ Joe, and it’s been executed by renowned artist Murray Henderson. A charitable organization supporter and noteworthy for his sports representations, Henderson’s works are accounted for in a number of private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the US and Europe. At approx. 18” x 20”, DiMaggio is exceptionally reproduced in full swing extension, with his legendary form and unmatched style marvelously mirrored. The artist has signed along the bottom left in silver, and with no condition issues to note, the canvas will be shipped to the winning bidder rolled.
