This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
First donning his primitive-style pretzel mask in college with Cornell and in his first seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, Ken Dryden transitioned to his famous red and blue “target” mask design in 1975. We have an original painting on canvas of the legendary netminder, executed by renowned artist Murray Henderson. A charitable organization supporter and noteworthy for his sports representations, Henderson’s works are accounted for in a number of private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the US and Europe. At approx. 21” x 21”, a collage of Dryden images awash in Habs’ colours are expertly depicted throughout, with both of his iconic masks wonderfully replicated. The artist has signed along the bottom left in white, and with no condition issues to note, the canvas will be shipped to the winning bidder rolled.
