Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Lot of folks will be intrigued by this offering, not those who pursue high grade material, but the lineup, along with the popularity of these issues render it interesting indeed. We spot a little something or more, flaw-wise, to the vast majority but creased cards are the minority, with plenty of decent VG, VG+, VG-EX and EX cards, as well as a small percentage better. Ah, and the lineup; multiple appearances of Orr, Hull, Howe, Plante and Sawchuk, unmarked checklists, rookie cards of Parent, Tony O, Perreault, Clarke, Sittler, Park and star cards offer numerous possibilities. Please visit our website for further condition details, along with images of the more important/valuable entries - the high bidder is going to have some fun with these.
Oh boy, where to start - let's take care of the unmarked checklists first. There are two #61s from 1968-69; one is off-centered with a slight diamond cut and otherwise VG-EX, while the other (F) has a few light creases and rounded corners. Two others are from '70-71; #24 (1st Series) is VG+, with #132 (2nd Series) creased and G. .....Bobby Orr cards total eight (two regular, six "specials"), with '68-69 #214-Norris Trophy (G), '69-70 #24 (VG+ with vertical printing line) and '70-71 #3 (VG-EX) the most notable and five different (All-Star, four trophy winners) averaging VG. .....Highlighting some six dozen '68-69s is a lower grade Bernie Parent RC (G), along with VG-EX-or-better cards of Esposito, Plante (EX+), Sawchuk, Mikita and Sanderson, while Gordie Howe's #22 puck sticker card has a crease and blotches of glue at the four corners on the back. .....Most noteworthy among over one hundred '69-70s are a Tony Esposito rookie (G), an EX+ Hull All-Star card, #61-Howe (EX) and both versions of Gordie's Mr. Hockey card; NNO appears VG+ but two subtle tape marks (we almost missed them on the reverse) lowers it, with #193 creased and also low grade. .....Most plentiful are some 150 from '70-71 with the RC lowdown as follows: Perreault (VG-EX), Clarke (VG-EX+), Sittler (G+) and Park (EX). Not already mentioned are stars (appearing once or more in the three groups) Beliveau, Horton, Mahovlich, Hall, Cheevers and still more Hall of Famers.
