Capturing wonderful team images of the most famous hockey club on earth, this lot features a number of desirable Montreal Canadiens team photos totaling 26 and ranging from the 1920s to 1960s. First, we have 13 Molson team photos (8” x 10”), with a complete run from 1953 to 1964-65, Crown Brand team photos w/their original backings for 1936-37 and 1937-38 (6 ½” x 10 ½”), a Parade Sportive photo from 1943-44 (5 ½” x 12”), and 4 misc. newsprint team photos for 1925, 1935-36, 1936-37 and 1939-40 (approx 11” x 14” give or take, poor condition). Rounding out the lot, we have a “Club Canadien” photo from the 1920s (5 ½” x 10” – cut down from a larger item, poor condition), a Vitone team photo from 1930-31 (7 ½” x 8” - bottom section trimmed, low grade with pinholes) and a card stock team photo from 1943-44 (8” x 11” – heavily creased).
The final remaining photos include a framed full colour print from 1962-63 (14” x 18” – framed to slightly larger dimensions), a desirable Rice photo showing the Habs “Champions of the World” banquet from 1931 (11” x 19” - framed to slightly larger dimensions, with heavy wear and damage to the print and frame) and a small panorama of the “Junior” Canadiens from 1930-31 (6” x 15” – poor condition with heavy staining). The majority of the Molson team photos display nicely but have lower technical grades, with light to moderate wear to the Crown Brand photos.
