Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Receiving his pre-NHL seasoning with HC Slovan Bratislava, netminder Jaroslav Halak has appeared for four different clubs throughout his NHL tenure, and serves as the New York Islanders franchise record holder for most consecutive wins and most wins in a season. This stick was used by the Slovak with the Montreal Canadiens in 2008-09, his second-last season with the club. A Sher-Wood SOP 9950 model with “Halak” stamped over the upper shaft, the stick retains the original white tape over the blade, lower paddle and handle, with red cloth wrap over the upper shaft. Showing nice game-use, there are a few puck marks to the front side of the blade along with a tear to the tape, with heavy wear including chips and gouges to the paddle and shaft.
