Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Featuring members of one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the NHL, we have a collection of three sticks, with each used by a member of the mighty Montreal Canadiens during the club’s dominating quartet of late-1970s Stanley Cup championships. Included, we have a pair of KOHO Custom Pro 221 model sticks used by Yvon Lambert and Jimmy Roberts (his last season with Montreal was in 1976-77), along with a Canadien goal stick used by Bunny Larocque (he used this model until 1978). Each player’s name appears stamped over his respective stick, while each stick sport’s the original tape job over the blade and handle/knob. The Lambert stick also has a date stamp of “Nov 11 1976” visible on the underside. Originally acquired from the personal collection of a Montreal Forum usherette, the Roberts stick shows nice game use, with heavy wear over the handle and tape added to the lower shaft to repair a crack. The Lambert stick also shows great game-use, with heavy wear to the blade and lower shaft. Lastly, the Larocque stick shows nice use, with puck marks to the blade and red paint transfer to the shaft.
