Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Serving as the Montreal Canadiens’ “Policeman” when the term was in fashion, John Ferguson controlled any aggressive opposition with an iron hand, while also enjoying prolific goal scoring despite his roll as enforcer. The first we have ever offered, we have a stick used by the tough winger during the 1968-69 NHL season. A CCM Pattern Made Custom Pro model dated by particularities within the CCM logo, “Ferguson” and “22” are stamped to the upper shaft, with the original black tape job over the blade and white on the handle/knob. The striping accent is now gone, with great use exhibited on the lumber, including numerous puck marks to the blade and shaft along with both red and blue paint transfer. There are also a few cracks to the blade and a bit of loss near the tip, but the stick remains solid. Ferguson has signed over the upper shaft in black marker, with the signature displaying well.
