Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

We're excited to offer this Ken Dryden game-used stick from very early in the legend's stellar career. Photo research reveals Dryden would have used this beauty either during his six games prior to the 1971 playoffs, during the memorable series victories over the Bruins, Flyers and Black Hawks, or during the 1971-72 campaign, his official rookie season. Nice game use too, with moderate wear along the bottom of the blade tape, black puck marks on the paddle and blackened white tape covering the black that forms the knob. Sher-Wood Pattern Pro is stamped "Dryden", with Dryden autographing one side of the shaft in fine red marker. The opposite side is similarly autographed by former Habs' goaltending great Bill Durnan, who passed away October 31, 1972. Two mounting holes, one each through the shaft and paddle, are to note, along with the provenance; it was originally purchased from the brother of former Montreal pro photographer Toto Gingras.
