Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Established in 1966, the Victor Awards are, in their own words, “an annual recognition of outstanding achievements in American professional and amateur athletics while fulfilling important needs of our wounded veterans and their families”. We have a Victor award that was presented to superstar HOFer Luc Robitaille in 2004, for his “Pro Hockey Comeback Player of the Year” status. At 13” in height, the elegant and well constructed trophy features a generic athlete with raised laurel wreath mounted atop a marble base, with an engraved gold band listing the particulars including “Victor Awards XXXVIII”, “Luc Robitaille” and “Voted by the National Sports Media – City of Hope – 2004”. Exhibiting just light wear, there are a few swivel marks where the player is mounted to the base, with the extended hand broken and repaired at the wrist. A signed LOA from Luc Robitaille will accompany.
