Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
From the immortal Summit Series, we have a commemorative silver coin in its original display case. At 2” in diameter, the silver coin’s obverse features crossed Canadian and Russian flags embossed atop a laurel wreath with “Hockey Canada 1972”. This central image is flanked by “Canada vs USSR” engraved on each side. The reverse features an embossed image of two generic players chasing after a puck, one representing each country. Stamped “Sterling” along the edge, there are also 3 additional hallmarks along with the serial number of “00010”. In beautiful condition, the coin exhibits just a few minor blemishes isolated to the perimeter of the obverse along with wear along the edge, and it will be accompanied by its original navy display box with details listed on the lid.
