Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Hailing from a season that witnessed only his third career trip to the Stanley Cup playoffs thus far, we have a pair of signed pants along with a chest protector, with each worn by Colorado Avalanche netminder Jonathan Bernier during the 2017-18 NHL regular season. The heavy chest protector is a Premier model produced by CCM in solid black, “Bernier” appears embroidered over the shoulder blade padding, with just light wear to the material. The pants are also CCM models in solid black, with an NHL shield logo over the reverse of the right pant leg. “#45” has also been handwritten over an affixed label, with nice use exhibited with marks and wear over the lower front pant legs. As an added bonus, Bernier’s signed equipment bag is also included, with Avalanche logos over each side along with an inserted “45” placard. A signed LOA from Jonathan Bernier will accompany.
The pants have been signed by the Laval native in white just above the CCM logo over the left pant leg, with no issues for the signature. Both items have been initialed by Kay Whitmore, with the former netminder serving in his capacity as the NHL's senior director of hockey operations and goaltender equipment. The bag exhibits light use with wear to each Avs logo, with the zipper in working order. Bernier has signed between the zipper and placard in white, with the bag displaying wonderfully.
