An interesting and varied hockey autograph collection with numerous deceased HOFers present, a number of different items have been signed including magazines, photos, programs, booklets, index cards, newspaper clippings and more. Highlighted by a 1935-36 Montreal Forum program signed on the cover by Aurele Joliat (dated 1981), we have other vintage magazines signed by Maurice Richard, Gordie Howe, Jean Beliveau, Stan Mikita (2), the Richard brothers and others, followed by photos signed by Maurice Richard, Gordie Howe, Johnny Bucyk, Dick Duff, Ted Kennedy, Butch Bouchard and others. Next, we have index cards signed by Bill Cook, Syl Apps, Frank Brimsek, Doug Harvey, Tom Johnson, Bill Mosienko, Bill Durnan (autograph album page) and others, along with reproduced mini magazine covers (from show signings) signed by Beliveau (7 – 2 different), Rocket (6 – 3 different) and Cournoyer (2, both different).
The remaining magazines include examples signed by Bobby Hull (3), Guy Lafleur (2), Tom Johnson, Dickie Moore, Boom Boom Geoffrion, Henri Richard, Darryl Sittler (cover only), Marcel Dionne, Phil Esposito, Rod Gilbert, Andy Bathgate, Alex Delvecchio and Frank Mahovlich. The remaining signed photos include Yvan Cournoyer, Emile Francis, Archie Wilcox (2), Marcel Pronovost and HOF Builder Frank Dilio, along with a dual-signed photo featuring Ray Bourque and Rick Middleton. The additional index cards feature signatures from Chuck Rayner, Johnny Bower, Pierre Pilote, Red Kelly, Camille Henry, Rod Gilbert and Ted Lindsay. Rounding out the lot we have a Molson hockey booklet signed by Beliveau, a Group II Beehive signed by Lindsay, and newsprint photos signed by Lach (2), Apps, Gilbert Perreault, Bobby Clarke and Lou Fontinato. Lastly, we have a “The Howes of Houston” poster signed by Gordie and his sons. Each of the magazines has been signed on the cover, with most in pleasing, displayable condition. A few of the index cards have been dated, with some listing their years active.
