Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
High on the list of desirable NHL jerseys, the examples used by the Quebec Nordiques featured an understated and clean design, with this aesthetic heavily favoured by jersey collectors. We have an example from the 1987-88 NHL season, with use attributed to Jean-Marc Richard. A Maska Ultrafil label remains partially detached along the collar with an “86 01” born-on date tag, with an embroidered CCM crest over the reverse bottom hem. “54” sizing has been handwritten on the collar label, with a gorgeous Nordiques team crest fully-administered in tackle twill utilized, along with heat-pressed vinyl sleeve and verso numbers, with “Richard” over the nameplate in matching material. There are also heat-pressed fleur-de-lys emblems over the lower front, reverse and shoulders. A few marks and small stains are visible over the lower front, with additional examples over each sleeve. There is also considerable peeling to the vinyl identifiers over the reverse, sleeves and shoulders. Richard saw action in just 4 contests with the Nordiques in 1987-88.
