Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

The reigning king of longevity among backstops, Glenn Hall spent parts of 18 seasons guarding NHL creases, with his 502-consecutive games played a record that can never be broken. To put this achievement into perspective, Hall played in every single regular-season contest from 1955-56, to, and including, 1961-62! We have a signed stick used by the legendary HOFer in the late-1960s during his time with St Louis, with a pair of additional Plante and Cheevers game sticks included. A Northland Pro Glass Fused model, “Hall” and handwritten “1” appear over the upper shaft, with stamps from supplier Giesler-Jorgen over both sides of the shaft. The original tape is present over the knob and paddle, with additional tape added over a reinforcement that has been placed along the middle of the paddle.
A small square-shaped section has also broken off from the paddle, with heavy wear throughout along with a few age cracks to the blade. There is also a bit of red paint transfer over the upper shaft. Hall has signed over the handle in blue marker adding his induction year, with the signature displaying beautifully. The accompanying Plante and Cheevers sticks were used by anonymous netminders and are both Victoriaville Pro models with each player’s name over the upper shaft, with “30” handwritten on the Plante, and “20” on the Cheevers. The Plante stick has white and black tape over the paddle, with the blade badly broken, with a large section missing. The Cheevers stick has tape over the blade, paddle and knob, with heavy wear including some separation along the underside of the blade, with a small section at the toe missing.
