Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
With 141 points netted over both the 2009-10 regular season and playoffs for the Windsor Spitfires, Taylor Hall tied Tyler Seguin of the Plymouth Whalers for the league's scoring lead, with both awarded the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as scoring co-champions. Hall also led the Spitfires to back-to-back Memorial Cup victories, in 2009 and 2010. We have a photo-matched helmet worn by the No 1 draft pick while with the Spitfires in 2009-10. A CCM model with Bauer visor, the harness and strapping is intact, with large Spitfire decals over each side. “4” also appears over the lower reverse, with a Mickey Renaud “18” memorial sticker on the left, and “DD” decal over the right. 6 Getty Images from January 29th 2010 are matched to the black mark on the forehead, to the visible black mark below "e" of "Spitfires" and to the correct "Spitfires" sticker placement on both sides of the helmet. The “DD” sticker was not present in the photos, added later at some point suggesting additional use. A team LOA will accompany.
Nice use is exhibited with marks, scratches and abrasions throughout, along with additional wear to the visor. Getty Images 96331776 and 96331786 have both been matched to the visible black mark over the forehead, while images 96332153 and 96332148 have both been matched to the left ear side sticker placement as well as the visible black mark over the forehead. Finally, image 96332106 has been matched to the visible black mark below "e" of "Spitfires", while image 96331841 has been matched to the visible black mark over the forehead and correct sticker placement on each side.
