Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Fabulous piece from a fabulous time in Montreal Canadiens’ history commemorates the team’s Stanley Cup triumph in April of 1957. The defending champs made it two straight Cup titles by taking care of the Rangers and Bruins in 5-game series, Dickie Moore scoring the Cup-winner in the 5-1 clincher on Forum ice. Featuring the Canadiens’ tri-color logo, the money clip is engraved “Coupe Stanley Cup Champions 1956-57”, with “Molson’s” and Henri Richard’s “H R” initials also included. In his sophomore season, the 21-year old Henri contributed eight playoff points and sipped from Lord Stanley’s bowl for the second of his record 11 times! Henri Richard’s signed LOA will be included with this nifty piece, which exhibits just light wear including a few very minor surface scratches.
