Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Existing throughout most of the 1980s from 1980 to 1987, Lutte Internationale of Montreal featured professional wrestling promotion, with the organization staffed with professional wrestlers, managers, play-by-play/color commentators, announcers, interviewers and referees. We have a robe and boots that were worn circa-1980 by Daniel Robert, along with an image on board that pictures the wrestler wearing this very robe. With no labeling present, the velour vest/robe in solid black feature’s red, white and blue sequins along the collar, lapels, cuffs and bottom hem, with crossed American and Canadian sequin flags on the reverse. The boots are in solid blue with no labeling present, with each having Robert’s “DR” initials handwritten. The photo mounted to board is 10 ¾” x 13 ¾” and it pictures Robert wearing the offered robe, with other images present along with “Daniel Robert” handwritten in marker. The robe exhibits moderate to heavy wear from use, with a few repairs along the neckline. The boots also show heavy use, with considerable wear to the leather, primarily along the toe sections, with the photo on board exhibiting moderate wear with a few small stains.
