Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

A fabulous design that has stood the test of time and which remains popular to this day stars here, with this uncut sheet the nicest, condition-wise, of our consignor’s inviting stash. The Series 1 sheet (28-1/4” x 43”) is blank-backed, with the image of Ken Dryden’s important rookie card appearing beside a Bernie Parent card in the upper part of the lower half. Like many of the cards, they’re crease-free, although a side-to-side diagonal crease affects cards below and to the left of them. We detect a light crease in the Bobby Orr example (lower left corner region) and heavy creasing in the upper left and right corners, with staining to the former. Overall though, rather impressive with original vibrant colors and no scuffing. Second-year cards of Clarke, Park and Perreault, along with images of Hull, the Esposito and Mahovlich brothers, Cournoyer, Ratelle, Cheevers and dozens of others, as well as famous elusive checklist #111 are a hoot to check out.
