Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Hailing from the momentous “Miracle on Ice” and seldom-seen, we have an official “Participant” lapel pin from the Olympic Winter Games held in Lake Placid, in 1980. This particular pin was awarded to Ken Morrow of the US Olympic Hockey Team, with his official athlete number of “31470” printed along the base of the pin-affixed backing. Featuring an Olympic ring and torch motif with “1980”, the 2 x 1.4 cm pin comes complete with its original white Bertoni vinyl presentation folder, with the Olympic rings in gold on the outer case. These individually-numbered pins were handed out along with participation medals to each athlete and official who took part in the festivities in 1980. Originally from the collection of Ken Morrow, his signed LOA will accompany.
